Cincinnati Children’s / UC Health Proton Therapy Center was named by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) as the best new construction project valued between $10 million and $99 million and built in the U.S. within the last year. Project team representatives from Messer Construction Co. and Linbeck Group, the joint venture design-build contractor team on the project, and Cincinnati Children’s and UC Health attended a luncheon event on March 8 to accept the 2017 Alliant Build America Award, which took place during the AGC’s 98th annual convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The awards event honors the nation’s most significant new and renovation construction projects that complete each year, and is considered throughout the industry as the most prestigious recognition of construction accomplishments in the U.S. This marks the second consecutive year a construction project lead by Messer has earned a Build America Award; in 2016 it was for Cincinnati Children’s Clinical Sciences Pavilion.
