    Welty Building Company Ltd., proven partners in comprehensive building services and management, named Ed Paparone as Group President of its Cleveland office. In his new position, Mr. Paparone will be responsible for directing overall growth, operations, safety and market implementation strategies for Welty in Northeast Ohio.

    Paparone comes to Welty from Turner Construction Company, where he served as Business Manager. A lifetime resident of Northeast Ohio, he has been an influencer in the local construction industry for the past 38 years. He is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), a member of the Northern Ohio Society for Healthcare Engineering (NOSHE), past Vice President of the local chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and past member of the Health Care Advisory Board. He has taught various construction management classes and conducted training seminars for local minority and female-owned business (MBE/FBE) firms.

    The 21st annual Columbus charity golf tournament had a record-breaking year bringing in donations for local charities

    Gilbane Building Company held its 21st annual charity golf outing at the Medallion Club on September 11th in Columbus, OH. More than 190 golfers joined Gilbane to help raise over $95,000 for local Columbus charities including The Center for Family Safety and Healing, Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

    Brianna Karelin, a Construction Management student at the University of
    Cincinnati, has been awarded the 2017 Tuttle Construction Tiny Rauch Scholarship. Karelin is the 15th recipient to be awarded this annual scholarship. She was presented with a $1,000 check from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio Education Foundation sponsored on behalf by Tuttle Services, Inc. to assist with her college education.

    The Tiny Rauch Scholarship is annually granted to a collegiate student pursuing a career in the construction industry that excels both in and out of the classroom. Karelin holds a 3.20 cumulative GPA and is active in many university student organizations including the Construction Students Association (CSA) and volunteers with numerous community outreach and service projects.

    In her scholarship essay, Karelin, hopes to make a difference in how women are perceived in the construction industry by continuously looking for ways to bring more visibility to women in construction. “This industry provides endless possibilities for women and I want to break through this so-called boundary. I feel the construction industry will be even better as a result of women and men having the same respect and opportunities.”

    Karelin will graduate from the University of Cincinnati in April of 2018.

    About the Tiny Rauch Scholarship

    Tuttle Services, Inc. the parent company of Tuttle Construction and Touchstone CPM, annually awards the Tiny Rauch Scholarship through the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio Education Foundation. The AGC of Ohio Education Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designed to promote the construction industry by providing scholarships to students interested in pursuing careers in
    construction. Tuttle awarded the first Tiny Rauch Scholarship in 2003.

        John MacGregor, of Toledo, has been promoted to manager of construction management services for Rudolph Libbe Inc. of the Rudolph Libbe Group.
          MacGregor began working in the construction industry in 2002. He joined Rudolph Libbe in 2013, most recently serving as preconstruction leader.
           He holds an associate’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Lourdes University. He is a member of the Toledo Zoo Young Professionals for Animals and Conservation (YPAC).

    Kyle Rooney has been promoted to senior vice president of the Ohio region.

    Kyle joined Turner’s Cleveland office in 1982 as a field engineer. He transferred to the Miami office in 1984 to serve as an engineer and superintendent. In 1991, he transferred to the Dallas office, where he served as manager of Business Development, as well as manager of the office’s Special Projects Division. In 1999, Kyle was named vice president and general manager of Dallas. In 2004 Kyle returned to Ohio, to serve as vice president and general manager of the Columbus Special Projects Division. The following year, he was named vice president and general manager of the Columbus office. In 2015, Kyle was named vice president and general manager of the Ohio region, his most recent role.

    Overmyer Hall Associates Chief Executive Officer, Greg Overmyer, has been named to the 2017 C-Suite Awards list by Columbus Business First.

    The C-Suite Award recognizes Central Ohio’s top executives for their contribution and commitment to community and their outstanding professional performance. A panel of business school professors in Ohio judged a prestigious group of nominees.
