AGC of Ohio's structure in Ohio includes seven self-funded, self-governed organizations in the major metropolitan construction markets throughout the state. AGC of Ohio is one of two AGC state chapters in Ohio, the second being the state highway chapter, the Ohio Contractors Association. The state AGC offices are chartered through AGC of America, the national association.
Allied Construction Industries (ACI) is a non-profit trade association comprised of 550 member companies who employ more than 25,000 individuals throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana. Founded in 1929, ACI’s membership includes union and open shop general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, developers, material suppliers, and service providers to the construction industry. ACI serves as an umbrella to seven division associations, including the Cincinnati Division of the AGC of Ohio.
AGC of Akron serves general contractors and construction managers in the Akron/Canton region. The latest addition to the Association is a not-for-profit subsidiary called, “Operation Open Doors”. Operation Open Doors has been set up to offer handicap accessible remodeling for permanently disabled veterans, fire fighters, and police officers in our area. Through the generosity of their membership, AGC of Akron helps those who protect our freedom and families.
The Builders Association represents approximately 150 employers in all types of construction and allied fields. Its members are the major employers of approximately 7,000 building tradesmen in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties in Ohio and in Lawrence and Mercer Counties in Pennsylvania. Created in 1970, the association negotiates 17 building trade agreements, and offers numerous other services to its members. The Builders Association houses the Youngstown Division, AGC.
The Central Ohio AGC has served the commercial construction industry throughout 14 Central Ohio counties since 1937. Its membership is comprised of both union and open shop general contractors, subcontractors, and service providers. The association represents over 300 contractors through its membership and Construction Advancement Program.
The Construction Employers Association (CEA) has represented the best in the Northeast Ohio construction industry since 1916. Contractors, owners, developers and professional service providers lead, learn and improve the industry by engaging with CEA. The Association is the key contractor labor-relations and legislative advocate and equips members with safety, construction management and business training essential to successful operations.
The AGC of Northwest Ohio and the Construction Contractors Council is a full service trade association for commercial and industrial contractors. The AGC negotiates and administers 15 labor contracts in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, provides direct oversight to multiple apprenticeship programs, and administers numerous labor/management cooperation committees. From labor relations to safety and political advocacy, the AGC of NW Ohio is committed to the needs of its members and the industry as a whole.
West Central Ohio AGC provides its members with the necessary tools to be at the leading edge of the construction industry. Its membership is comprised of the top general and specialty contractors in 15 counties around the Dayton/Lima area. In support of the members, West Central Ohio AGC plays an active role in economic development, apprenticeship recruitment, education, safety, labor relations, and more.
